Only a photographer who is a “pro” is entitled to use the seal shown here. As a member of the Professional Photographers’ Society of New York State they must be competent and ethical.

If you photographer is a member of the Society, you can be sure they know and use the latest techniques. Your assurance of this is their attendance at Society seminars throughout the year. Instructing at these sessions are outstanding photographic experts who draw upon long experience to give the “students” the latest methods.

Photographers belonging to the Society also receive information about new equipment and materials available from leading manufacturers.

To spur members to constantly improve their techniques, the Society sponsors its Annual Conference of Professional Photography. Work of the members is displayed and evaluated at the conference — a stern test and one more means of making members satisfied with nothing less than creative excellence. Awards are given for outstanding work not only at the conference but at other exhibits held throughout the year.
