The Professional Photographers Society of New York is an organization of dedicated professionals aspiring to raise the bar in professional imaging for over a century. Our predecessors pioneered our craft through tin-type, glass plate, sheet, and roll films, bringing us to the frontier of digital imaging. This is an era where technology and information is advancing at a daily pace. I accept the challenge of leadership that membership has bestowed on me and promise to continue, along with the finest board of directors, Committee Chairs, and Volunteers to surpass any and all expectations for the coming year. We as your governing body, are fortunate to have an active and cohesive Board of Governors’ to work with, always available to lend a hand or advise when called upon. 

PPSNYS is comprised of ten sections spanning the state which have monthly dinner meeting along with programs, print competitions, and annual full day programs. We feature two summer workshops, two free full day all state programs, and an incredible State convention headlining world renowned speakers, PPA affiliate print Judging, a great trade show.  

 Coming off the Niagara Falls convention our society has a renewed sense of camaraderie. All who attended will attest to the fact that, the programming, parties and field trips to the Falls and Canada were the best in several years. I congratulate Jim Gavacs, all convention chairs, and the entire staff for an exemplary job.
